Lead Full Stack Engineer (Node.js & React/Vue) - Hybrid

About the role

CoverGo is a global no-code insurance platform for health, life and property & casualty insurance, working with enterprise clients such as AXA, Bupa and MSIG. As Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will drive the technical direction and execution of its insurance enterprise software, lead and mentor a team of engineers on the SaaS platform, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. The position is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of the SaaS platform, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance.
• Mentor a team of Full Stack Engineers through coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product managers, designers and other stakeholders.
• Drive architectural decisions, set coding standards and best practices, and conduct code reviews.
• Promote testing methodologies and automation, and proactively address technical debt and scalability bottlenecks.
• Champion security and compliance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a technical role, with a track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams on complex SaaS applications.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on full stack development experience.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, architecting and deploying scalable applications.
• In-depth knowledge of TDD, unit, integration and functional testing, and experience with testing frameworks and automation tools.
• Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns, and thorough knowledge of web security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects and passion for continuous learning.
