Senior Associate, Trucking & Warehousing

About the role

Flexport is hiring a Senior Associate for its trucking and warehousing function in Hanoi. The role reports to the Manager, Trucking & Warehouse (based in Ho Chi Minh City) and is a senior, high-autonomy position: you are expected to be the go-to person in Vietnam, able to resolve day-to-day issues independently and proactively improve how the team works.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic trucking bookings (trucking only or attached to ocean and air shipments), including EXW pickups, port runs and cross-dock moves.
• Fulfill ad-hoc trucking, CFS and storage requests from internal teams and clients.
• Track shipment and warehouse milestones, keep Flexport systems updated and meet KPIs.
• Be the first point of contact for on-site issues in Hanoi, resolving delays and exceptions with vendors and warehouse operators before escalation.
• Liaise with CFS and warehouse vendors on service quality, safety compliance and cost efficiency, and recommend workflow improvements.
• Maintain and grow relationships with domestic trucking, CFS and warehouse vendors; lead vendor onboarding, rate negotiation and service profiles.
• Own the domestic trucking and CFS rate database, monitor vendor performance and drive corrective action.
• Design and maintain SOPs, build operational reports and dashboards, and share best practices across locations.
• Support RFQ responses, partner with the product and demand teams on solution design and costing, and prepare rate sheets and lane summaries for client proposals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in trucking, freight forwarding, warehousing/CFS or logistics operations, with at least 1 year in a role requiring independent ownership.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse and CFS operations; experience setting up or improving CFS workflows is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated experience building or improving SOPs and operational reporting.
• Interest in automation and process improvement; familiarity with Vietnam's domestic trucking and CFS market.
• Fluent working English, able to communicate with overseas teams.

Required skills

• Comfortable with Excel/GSheet formulas, macros or basic scripts; TMS experience or building simple internal tools is a plus.
