Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Airbag Systems

About the role

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer you will own a critical software component of Bosch's airbag system, contributing directly to vehicle safety. You will design, implement and maintain embedded solutions that meet stringent performance and reliability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create static and dynamic software architecture design models.
• Monitor and report software quality metrics throughout the development lifecycle.
• Prepare and lead Software Change Control Board activities.
• Develop software configuration variants and manage micro‑controller resource targets (runtime, memory).
• Analyse defect root causes, assess impact and document design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Vietnam, India, Germany and the customer in Japan across the product life‑cycle.
• Guide and coach the development team on architecture and design strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an embedded software developer.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or Telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of requirements, change and configuration management processes (V‑model).
• Experience with test methodology and ECU test environments.
• Good teamwork, analytical thinking and ability to work in an Agile environment.
