Senior Security Operations Engineer I

About the role

Axon is looking for a Senior Security Operations Engineer I to join its InfoSec Engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City. The role builds secure, reliable and developer-friendly infrastructure, designs security tools for vulnerability management and secure software delivery pipelines, and works closely with engineering teams to scale security across the organization. The position reports to the Manager, InfoSec Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve security tooling integrated into developer workflows, including in-house vulnerability management and CMDB systems.
• Add automated security checks and guardrails to CI/CD pipelines to catch vulnerabilities early.
• Provision and maintain secure AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native best practices.
• Work with developers and platform teams to design secure services, infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Investigate security and infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement remediation and automation.
• Improve observability through logging, metrics and alerting, and maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Strengthen Kubernetes security, including workload protection, policy enforcement, cluster hardening and runtime monitoring.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure, site reliability or platform engineering.
• Proven track record designing internal security platforms and tooling, especially for vulnerability management, asset inventory or CMDB systems.
• Strong collaboration with developers, SRE and platform teams.

Required skills

• Software development in production-grade tools (Go, Python or similar).
• Cloud security on AWS and Azure, and containerized workloads.
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• CSPM and cloud security scanning platforms.
• Linux, networking and distributed systems.
• CI/CD integration with automated scanning and policy enforcement.
• Observability tools (logging, metrics, alerting, SIEM).

The role is hybrid: onsite Tuesday to Friday and remote on Mondays, unless an approved accommodation applies. Some roles may also require legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment.
