Tax Adviser

About the role

DFDL, an integrated legal and tax advisory firm founded in 1994 with offices in several Southeast Asian countries, is recruiting a Tax Adviser for its Ho Chi Minh City office. The adviser acts as a trusted advisor to prominent local and international clients on tax matters related to inbound and outbound investments in Vietnam, working with a team of tax and corporate lawyers and with leading Vietnamese and international investors. The position reports to a Manager, Director or Partner and is open to local residents only.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to local and international clients on tax matters related to inbound and outbound investments in Vietnam
• Collaborate with a team of tax and corporate lawyers at DFDL offices, gaining exposure to complex transactions and cross-border structures
• Work with leading Vietnamese and international investors on high-impact projects

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience; law or accounting firm experience is highly regarded
• Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in tax laws, especially advisory work
• Practical experience dealing with Vietnamese and international clients
• Valid English language proficiency certificate required
• A membership of a Bar Association or Professional Accounting Body is a plus
