TB Technical Advisor

About the role

The TB Technical Advisor will serve as the key technical resource for FHI 360 Vietnam and the Support to End TB (SET) project, working closely with the National TB Programme and provincial authorities to advance sustainable TB service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight across the TB service cascade at national and provincial levels, ensuring alignment with guidelines and achievement of case‑finding and treatment targets.
• Develop and update technical guidelines, protocols, training materials and support capacity‑building for local staff and health authorities.
• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives, using programme data to identify gaps and improve service quality.
• Coordinate technical activities with the NTP, MOH, donors and partners, including sub‑contracts, sub‑awards and reporting.

Required profile

• Medical doctor or Master of Public Health (or related field); master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years in TB control programs in Vietnam.
• Proven experience managing large USG‑funded or donor‑funded projects and working with government counterparts.
• Excellent communication skills in Vietnamese and English.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of TB diagnostics, treatment algorithms and national TB guidelines.
• Experience with data‑driven quality improvement and CQI processes.
• Ability to develop technical documents, SOPs and training materials.
