Application Engineer – Optical Communications

About the role

The Application Engineer will join a leading European provider of optical communications products, delivering technical support and implementation expertise to customers in Vietnam. You will act as the bridge between the product development team and end‑users, ensuring successful deployment and optimal performance of optical communication systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote technical assistance for optical communication solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, performing detailed troubleshooting.
• Conduct product training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, sales, and R&D teams to improve product functionality.
• Document support cases, create technical reports, and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application engineering or a related technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a comparable discipline.
• Strong understanding of optical communication technologies and system architecture.
• Proven experience in customer support and technical troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
