Music Teacher (Expat Only)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Music Teacher to join Scotch Australian Grammar School in Ho Chi Minh City. This position is open to expatriates only and involves delivering the Australian Curriculum and SACE Music programmes to senior secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver music lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum Music framework.
• Teach SACE Music subjects and prepare students for assessments.
• Design and submit semester‑long teaching programmes that meet school standards.
• Record and communicate learning activities, assessments and feedback through the school’s Learning Management System.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the music curriculum.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) with a valid teaching certification.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience at high‑school, senior secondary or university level.
• Eligibility to work in Vietnam.
• Fluent English with IELTS 7.5 or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using technology for teaching, learning and assessment.

Required skills

• Use of a Learning Management System for lesson planning and feedback.
