Research Infrastructure Manager

About the role

VinUniversity is seeking a Research Infrastructure Manager to lead the operation and maintenance of its research facilities. The role supports the university’s mission to deliver world‑class education and research by ensuring that laboratories are safe, well‑equipped, and efficiently managed.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day management of research labs and shared equipment.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs for scientific instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and university policies.
• Develop and manage the budget for laboratory procurement, consumables, and services.
• Coordinate procurement processes for new equipment and supplies.
• Lead and supervise technical support staff and coordinate multi‑user facility scheduling.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in research lab management or facilities oversight.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, procurement, and safety compliance in a research environment.
• Experience with multi‑user research facilities or technical support teams is preferred.
