About the role

Wellspring Saigon International Bilingual School is seeking an enthusiastic Speech and Debate Club Teacher to develop public speaking and debate programmes for primary and secondary students. The role involves designing engaging English‑language curricula and guiding students to excel in school‑wide competitions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum and lesson plans in English for public speaking (Grades 2‑5) and debate (Grades 6‑11).
• Lead the academic core of school‑wide Speech and Debate tournaments, preparing students for competition.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with other faculty to integrate communication skills across subjects.
• Maintain a positive, disciplined classroom environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Communications, Media, Law or a related field; teaching certification is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; instruction is delivered entirely in English.
• Proven experience teaching or coaching speech, debate, or competitive communication formats.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
