Assistant Manager, Corporate Strategy

About the role

Manulife Vietnam is seeking a Manager, Corporate Strategy to join its Corporate Strategy team, reporting to the Strategy Director. The role supports the development, execution and monitoring of strategic initiatives that drive business growth, operational excellence and organisational transformation, turning enterprise priorities into actionable plans across distribution, operations, marketing and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning and cascade: coordinate with leadership and functional departments on strategic plans and business cases, facilitate alignment of priorities across departments, and lead strategic planning workshops and leadership offsites.
• Market intelligence: research industry trends, competitor strategies and best practices in insurance and financial services, prepare insights and maintain a repository of strategic insights.
• Strategy execution: lead company-wide and change-management activities, develop project plans, track progress and manage risks and dependencies with cross-functional teams.
• Reporting and governance: prepare monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensure accurate reporting of KPIs and business performance, and support governance materials for leadership and board meetings.
• Strategic support: support corporate events, townhalls and strategic communications, and assist in other strategic projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Background in business planning, operations, project management or transformation is welcomed.
• Proven ability to own end-to-end delivery of initiatives independently, and to influence and coordinate across functions, including presenting to executives.
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to synthesise complex information.
• Data-driven analysis, stakeholder management and change-management discipline.
