Director, Agency Strategic Program Management

About the role

Manulife is looking for a Director to own and deliver end-to-end the Manulife Pro program, the Agency MDRT program, the MBA program, the Agency Recruitment function and any other programs launched from time to time. The role sits in the Agency Program Management team and works closely with Program Managers, Agency Training, Agency Business Management and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manulife Pro (40%): own the full delivery of the program, work with Program Managers to deploy it to the front line, deliver financial and non-financial benefits and optimise them over time, and own performance management and reporting using cohort management to drive MAPA KPIs.
• Agency Recruitment (40%): write a project plan with deliverables, timelines and tracking, partner with HR and ABM on sourcing, assessment and closing, screen and interview candidates, prepare candidate slates, run the end-to-end recruitment cycle and streamline processes.
• MDRT and other programs (20%): own the Agency MDRT and MBA programs, work with cross-functional teams on metrics such as 13M persistency, FYP and underwriting risk, and present progress and business cases to senior executives and regional teams.
• Manage the Agency Program Management team and report to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree as a minimum; master's degree favourable.
• At least 8 years of full-time experience delivering high-profile projects or programs.
• At least 3 years leading a team of 3 or more people.
• Project and management consultancy experience is a plus; prior P&L or business unit ownership is a plus.
• Experience across all functions in the company, including local and regional teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic data analytics, including SQL and front-end tools such as Power BI.
• Senior stakeholder management and cross-departmental collaboration.
