Data Engineer – Snowflake & Python

About the role

The analytics team at TransPerfect needs a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain Python‑based data pipelines in Snowflake. You will support both internal stakeholders and external clients by delivering reliable, high‑performance reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Python data pipelines in Snowflake to serve reporting needs.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries on large, multi‑client datasets.
• Integrate data from diverse sources such as MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Sharepoint, AWS, Azure, Excel, XML, JSON, REST APIs, and log files.
• Troubleshoot and resolve failed data flows promptly to minimise production impact.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve long‑running data workflows.
• Collaborate with team members using source‑control systems (Git).
• Develop Snowflake‑based Streamlit applications to support internal data workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience developing in Python.
• 3+ years of experience writing complex SQL against large datasets.
• 2+ years of experience working in a team that uses source control (Git or similar).
• Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
