Enterprise Architect – Banking

About the role

The Enterprise Architect defines and governs the bank's technology architecture strategy, aligning business objectives, digital transformation initiatives and technology investments. The role sets enterprise-wide architecture principles, standards, roadmaps and governance frameworks, working with business executives, technology leaders, solution architects and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and governance framework, and define current-state, target-state and transition roadmaps.
• Partner with executive leadership to turn business strategy into architecture roadmaps and advise on emerging technologies.
• Establish architecture governance, lead review boards and committees, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Work across business, application, data, technology, security and integration architecture domains.
• Support digital transformation, cloud adoption, API strategy, automation and modernization.
• Manage technology investments, roadmaps and portfolio prioritization, and optimize technology costs.
• Ensure architecture supports regulatory compliance, business continuity, disaster recovery and audit expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Information Systems or related fields; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience across multiple domains, including at least 5 years in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture or Technology Strategy.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-wide projects in large, complex organizations; banking, financial services, insurance or highly regulated sectors highly preferred.

Required skills

• Enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF), business capability modeling and governance.
• Application, data and technology architecture, API management, microservices and SOA.
• Data architecture, data governance, data warehousing and big data platforms.
• Hybrid cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), infrastructure modernization, containerization and Kubernetes.
• Cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Preferred: TOGAF certification, CEA, Azure/AWS/GCP architect certifications, ITIL and COBIT, CISSP, SABSA.
