Senior Embedded Automotive Test Engineer (with Joining Bonus)

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies Company Limited (BGSV), Bosch's first software development centre in Southeast Asia, is hiring a Senior Embedded Automotive Test Engineer in Ho Chi Minh City. You will define, implement and improve testing solutions for automotive embedded software products, combining test strategy, automation enablement and cross-functional coordination. The role works closely with SWSD, Function Developers, Architects, Project Managers and global stakeholders, inspired by the EPC ComTest and SIL transformation initiatives (VW & STLA account).

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the project test strategy, plan testing across System, Software Qualification, SIL and HIL environments, and ensure requirement-to-test traceability.
• Review test specifications, designs and reports, drive quality improvement and defect prevention, and investigate defects with root-cause analysis.
• Analyse requirements, develop test cases, specifications and test data, and build automated tests with Python or similar scripts.
• Contribute to Continuous Testing and CI/CD integration, support SIL validation and early defect detection, and optimise test environments.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance on test methods, automotive communication and debugging, and act as technical focal point for testing.
• Report test progress, risks and quality status, support audits and compliance (ASPICE, Functional Safety, Quality Gate Reviews), and generate test summary reports.

Required profile

• 5+ years in Embedded Software Testing or System Testing.
• Project-level testing coordination or technical leadership experience.
• Hands-on test automation development.
• Nice to have: ISTQB certification, experience establishing SIL Continuous Testing concepts, and experience setting up testing concepts for SIL environments.

Required skills

• CI/CT or DevOps experience.
• CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet protocols and Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, VT System).
• Nice to have: Python for automation frameworks, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262 awareness, ASPICE.
