Area Development Program Development Facilitator

About the role

The Area Development Program Development Facilitator will work with local partners and communities in Vietnam to strengthen child‑focused development initiatives. This fixed‑term position supports World Vision’s mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children through community‑based planning, implementation, and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate partnerships and networking among community groups, NGOs, government agencies and other stakeholders to mobilise resources for child wellbeing.
• Build capacity of local partners on development principles, technical models, guidelines and tools.
• Lead commune‑level planning activities, annual community reviews and disaster‑preparedness planning.
• Collaborate with Technical Program Officers to ensure quality technical implementation and mainstream cross‑cutting themes such as gender equality, disability inclusion and disaster risk reduction.
• Oversee procurement, strategic sourcing and financial compliance at the community level.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and learning by building community capacity to use locally appropriate tools.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to engage and coordinate diverse local stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of local context, vulnerabilities and development opportunities.
• Experience in community‑based planning, capacity building and facilitation.
• Commitment to World Vision’s values and child‑focused development approach.
