Senior Test Automation Engineer (Python, Playwright)

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSV), the first Bosch software development centre in Southeast Asia, is hiring a Senior Automation Test Engineer for its AI Global Product, an AI-native workflow and approval platform used by nearly 500,000 users worldwide. The role is a long-term position focused on embedding quality into the product from requirements to production, combining Playwright and Python automation with AI-driven quality engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, designs and user stories, identify risks and edge cases, and design and review test scenarios, test cases and automation scripts
• Design and maintain scalable Playwright and Python automation frameworks, automate web apps, APIs, integrations and workflows, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Build reusable components, test data solutions and stable, maintainable tests, and eliminate flaky tests
• Validate end-to-end workflows and run API, integration, performance, load, scalability and resilience tests
• Apply AI to requirement analysis, test generation, test data, automation and defect analysis, and explore Agentic AI for intelligent test execution
• Report on test execution, defects and automation health, create dashboards and quality reports, and mentor other QA engineers

Required profile

• 7+ years in software testing or quality engineering, focused on automation
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and testing enterprise web apps, APIs, integrations and workflows
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Agile, cross-functional product team experience and strong English communication and documentation skills

Required skills

• Must have: Playwright and Python, automation frameworks, functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing
• Advantageous: Playwright with TypeScript, OutSystems or other low-code/no-code platforms, GenAI or Agentic AI use in testing, API and performance testing, ISTQB or equivalent certification
