Solution Architect

About the role

Vinova, a Singapore-headquartered technology consulting and software development company, is hiring an experienced Solution Architect to join its growing team. The role is client-facing consulting, partnering with clients, business stakeholders and engineering teams to design scalable, secure and maintainable enterprise solutions, from discovery and design through governance and delivery. It is open to candidates in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or Da Nang, with possible onsite assignments in Singapore; Singapore-based candidates are also welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives, covering application, integration, data, infrastructure and security domains.
• Run technical discovery workshops, collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners and Project Managers, and present architecture proposals and trade-offs to clients.
• Support pre-sales with solution design, technical estimations and architecture recommendations.
• Lead technical design discussions, produce architecture documentation and diagrams, and guide implementation to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Mentor development teams and Technical Leads on architecture best practices.
• Identify technical risks and dependencies early, drive architecture reviews and align with enterprise architecture standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a Solution Architect or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
• Experience in software consulting, system integration, IT services or digital transformation is highly preferred.
• Experience working directly with enterprise clients and cross-functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, API management and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes preferred).
• DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability and infrastructure automation.
• Application security, authentication and authorization.
• SQL and NoSQL databases, data integration and enterprise data architecture.

Nice to have

• Industry experience in banking, government, healthcare, retail, logistics, manufacturing or technology.
• Enterprise architecture frameworks and cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Singapore-based clients or regional enterprise projects.
