Translation & Requirement Management Support Associate (Japanese + English)

About the role

BGSV, the Bosch Global Software Technologies company in Ho Chi Minh City, is looking for a Translation & Requirement Management Support Associate fluent in Japanese and English. The role covers translating technical documents between Japanese and English, managing versions of specifications in the Doors system, and supporting engineers and product managers on terminology.

Key responsibilities

• Translate technical documents, specifications, user manuals and software documentation between Japanese and English, ensuring accuracy, linguistic quality and consistency.
• Maintain technical accuracy and terminology using glossaries, style guides and translation memory tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and technical writers to clarify technical concepts and terminology.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and proofreading of translated content; real-time interpretation experience is highly preferred.
• Import specifications in various formats (Word, Excel, PDF, matrix) into the Doors system, manage versions, set attributes and layouts as required by customers.
• Handle system configuration management, baseline copies and tracking reports, plus other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Fluent spoken and written Japanese and English (JLPT N2 or above, or IELTS/TOEIC high-advanced level).
• At least 3 years of experience as a professional translator in a technical environment (software development, IT or engineering preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation or a related technical field preferred; professional certification in interpretation or translation is a strong asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with translation memory tools (Trados, MemoQ, Memsource) and terminology management systems.
• MS Office.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and ability to quickly master new technical concepts and terminology.
